I began my Taekwondo training here years ago upon moving to Fargo. It was a very fun place, though I thought that I didn't get as much as I would like out of it, and also, the brunette haired woman (I didn't know her name - maybe Stephanie) instructor was quite rude in her speech and tone during our one on one interactions when I started out as a white belt. Kind of ironic how I was the only black male training there at the time and I was the only one who she acted that way towards, from my own interpretation. Being a white belt, it's going to take some time to acclimate to the basics of the sport and certainly in terms of learning to tie a belt. I thought she was very rude and unprofessional for a martial arts instructor. Everyone else were super exciting to work with, and the lead instructor, Mr. Beyer, genuinely seemed, like, a really cool guy. Overall, an incredibly fun experience.

My son has been doing taekwondo for nearly three years along with my daughter now starting. I am lucky enough to have started my kids in this program. This is an amazing place to help teach kids discipline, accountability, and self-control all while having fun. Through the years my son has done this, he has accomplished so much such as facing his fears, overcoming adversity, and even making new friends. If you are looking for a program for your child or children that offers structure, encouragement, and personal growth, ATA Taekwondo is the perfect choice. The instructors are incredibly dedicated, patient, and supportive, ensuring that each child learns not only martial arts skills but also valuable life lessons. The positive and motivating environment helps build confidence, respect, and perseverance, which extend beyond the gym and into everyday life. I have seen firsthand how this program has helped my son develop both physically and mentally, and I am excited to see my daughter grow in the same way. Whether your child is looking to build self-defense skills, improve focus, or simply be part of a great community, ATA Taekwondo is an outstanding place to start. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a well-rounded and inspiring experience for their children!

We started our son at Beyer's in the fall of 2022 without knowing much of anything about martial arts. We thought we'd give it a shot and see if it went anywhere. What we didn't expect was how it would transform our son's confidence, help him become more disciplined and respectful, and the community that we've found. My son has now progressed up to a black belt, and our 5 year old daughter is in the Tigers program and is absolutely thriving! The instructors are well respected in the ATA community, and they truly care about helping each student develop not only their skills, but as humans. We don't know what we'd do without our tkd family, and can't recommend them enough! If you've been thinking about trying taekwondo, this is the place.

As a recovering helicopter parent, I was disgusted by the tactics used at Beyer's ATA. This 'free session' cost me my pride. My son, who is like a frightened koala, leaped from my lap like a bird taking flight from the nest. Swiftly, he looked back, only once, with excitement plastered on his face [ a metaphorical peace sign: see ya lataaaz ]. From the helipad straight to [ basically ] manhood my son evolved as soon as his sweet little toddler feet hit the mat. The sound of that step echoed through the place and my ears rung. The first thing I remember as I came to was the sound that had me feeling sky high [ no helicopter pun intended ]. It was the sound of the community. Other parents were cheering for him AND me! In all seriousness, I will never release this memory as well as continuously honor the staff and their elite, yet gentle demeaner. This incredible story will be told and told again without embellishment. None is needed with such profound passion towards the art and the students. And here it comes, the most worn-out statement that exists in the land of google reviews: If more stars existed, I would absolutely rate them as high as possible.

My son has some sensory and social anxiety issues we struggle with. Master Beyer has been a great influence in my son's life and is able to keep him engaged and on track in class. He has made him feel included in group and makes a point to acknowledge something my son has improved on in each class he attends. I have noticed a huge self esteem boost and his teacher has notice my son feeling more comfortable engaging other students he usually shy's away from in group settings. My son has also been bullied on the playground and Master Beyer has talked with my son 1:1 on several occasions to check in and see how school is going and given his other ideas to deal with the bully. I can't give enough stars to Master Beyer and his assistants!!!! Choosing ATA and specifically Master Beyer has been the best decision!!! My son looks forward to each and every class and practices at home to become his best "ninja self"
