I loved this place. Firstly didn't even know they had hotel style rooms available. My son was staying here with his basketball team in one of the big cabins so I asked the manager if I could plug my Tesla in for a couple hours (220v 14-50 outlet). They said they'd be happy to let me (and that was b4 I even knew I'd be staying here). Then a friend said they had rooms so I got one too instead of driving back to La Grande. Anyway, nice rooms, very clean. Only twin beds but worked.

A thin place, where you can spend time with others yet be alone with your thoughts and find yourself closer to God.

A place of calmness and serenity. It is surrounded by mtns in an area one calls the Grande Ronde. Very peaceful and spiritual. I call this place therapy.

It's like day and night here. The bunkhouses are roughed in and unworkable if you are over 18. The hotel side is new a modernized and honestly the best place in town to stay. There are photos of Nelson Mandela everywhere as he had come to visit several times. Nelson Mandela in Cove, OR. Can you believe it? Workable if you are running and youth group or excursion program. Not if you are here to explore the area with this as home base.
