Powered by GoogleWe tried this place out for the first time today and we were blown away with how welcoming, inviting, and fun our class was! Little guy is almost 2 and isn’t the biggest fan of structured classes so this was a perfect mix of a scheduled class, but also open and creative play. There are various stations set up in the space and kiddos are invited to do whatever they want. We played with water, crafts, homemade Play-Doh, paint, spray bottles, chalk, etc. This was a fun way to get out of our norm and socialize, but also get messy with our play without the clean up haha we will be back!!
We ❤️ ARTplay! Jarah and all the teachers are amazing! My kids have attended classes and camps (plus birthday celebrations) here for years! This is hands down the best experience in Lexington to engage your kids in a safe, fun, super child-led creative art experience. Plus there are fun take home craft kits. We are so lucky to have ARTplay in Lexington!
Both of my children have loved ArtPlay since they were 15 months and now are 4.5 & 5.5. They love the free play aspect. They are completely different children and it speaks to both of them. One is more sensory based and it’s the only place he gets the calm atmosphere he strives for and the other is more product based. Being in that class has carried over to our home life the children are constantly wanting to recreate an activity we did there. ArtPlay introduced our children to art in a way of exploration and imagination. We continue to go weekly throughout the year. They also have helped with so many birthday gifts with creative bags of art to create. Can’t say enough about Jarah or her place we are fortunate to have ArtPlay in our community!
My daughter had her party this year at the ArtPlay and it was downright magical. She requested a pretty random theme for her 6th birthday (vampire bats?) and Jarah, the owner, didn't miss a beat. She came up with such creative ideas for the party activities (bats capes and masks complete with hand-cut bat ears by her lovely assistant, Ellen) Both of these women were so kind and helpful with the kiddos and you could tell they really wanted them to be able to express their artistic and creative side but still in a low pressure setting. We have also attended several birthday parties and the staff always seem to be able to adapt the feel of the party to the kiddos attending. It's very open-ended in its creativity and the little ones leave so proud of the art they have created. I appreciate the sensory bins too for the younger ones who may wander a bit more and need more activities. They play music, let you bring snacks and just overall present an inviting, warm and creative atmosphere to celebrate in!
My daughter has done classes, several art camps (winter break and summer) and had her “bestest birthday party ever” here yesterday. I can’t express what an awesome and magical place it is, especially for children who love to be creative. It’s her favorite place to go and the laid back atmosphere allows her to create, play and make a mess without worrying about it like at home. Jarah and the entire staff are amazing and share a passion to create magic in the lives of children. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.
