★★★★★Heath McPhersonThe Art Center of Burlington sits at the heart of Downtown Burlington on Jefferson Street and only a half block from the historic Capital Theater. On Thursday & Friday evenings they host the Gallery Lounge which includes a fine selection of wines, beers, & charcuterie boards, with indoor seating for visiting with friends while admiring art, and in warm weather they have outdoor seating which is an excellent way to experience the Farmers' Market. The have regular art classes for all ages. There are two galleries. The main gallery has exhibits that are rotated monthly. The mezzanine gallery located on the second floor shows of the Art Center's own collection of artworks. The Artists Market shows the variety of talents of local artists. Each year on Fathers day the Art Center hosts the Snake Alley Art Fair at the top of Snake Alley on 6th Street from Columbia Street to High Street in The Heritage Hill District. Also on the second floor they have an art library housed in the board room. Their greatest feature by far is their wonderful staff.
