Powered by GoogleWe had such a wonderful experience teaching a sourdough bread class at AtoZ Cooking School! It all started by chance—we met the founder at a farmers market just after arriving for our three-month stay. We ended up chatting so long that the market literally closed around us, and by the end of it, we had already agreed to teach a class together. From start to finish, the staff was incredible to work with—organized, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic. The class was completely full, and the time flew by. Everyone was so engaged, curious, and excited to learn, which made the whole experience even more rewarding. We’re so grateful for the opportunity and would absolutely do it again!
My daughter has been taking classes at A to Z for many years. She loves it! I have also taken several adult cooking classes and family cooking classes. We have also tried after school classes and attended birthday parties A to Z provides. So many great options with passionate and Caring staff. This is an investment in your child’s future!
A to Z literally changed my life. I learned how to make sourdough there, and it has become a regular beloved practice. I love the real-world impact of their mission: to teach kids (and adults!) how to cook and eat healthy foods, a joyful and essential skill. I'm a huge fan.
My son attended a cooking camp in the summer, and I've volunteered with them as well. The activities they have planned for kids around cooking, tasting, and learning about food are TOP NOTCH! My kiddo got to taste REAL wasabi at a sushi restaurant, help make corn tortillas from scratch, learn about organic produce and visit a local farm (after cooking and packing lunches for the trip). The staff truly care about the kids (I haven't taken any of their adult classes), and strives to make a welcoming environment around food while encouraging learning and trying new things. My favorite saying at A to Z is "Don't yuck my yum" - encouraging kids to enjoy their favorite foods while enjoying their own. Highly recommend for all kids - especially those little chefs out there that like to cook!
We signed up for a family class and everyone had a great time! In addition to learning basic cooking skills, I noticed that my daughters (ages 11 & 7) were more open to trying new healthy foods when they were the ones who cooked it. Will definitely try to incorporate this into our daily routine. I also love that they stress the importance of sitting down and sharing a meal with family without screens or other distractions.
