The Apex Tennis Center is the Apex Park and Recreation District's full-service tennis facility in Arvada, with certified teaching staff running year-round youth tennis for players from age 5 1/2 up through high school. Juniors move through five age-based recreational levels: Pre-Rally Red for ages 5 1/2-8, Orange Ball Rally for ages 8-11, Green Ball Rally for ages 11-13, and Middle/High School Beginners and High School Prep for ages 13-18, with an invitation-only Apex Tournament Team for committed players and four USTA-sanctioned junior tournaments over the summer. One of the nicest, beautiful and welcoming tennis public facilities in Colorado. Tournaments viewing (outside courts) is unparalleled. Great coaching staff. The downside is that during winter the courses for junior are waaaaaaay over crowded, but this seems to be a Colorado issue... Still, an easy five ⭐.
★★★★★Doug MageeThe Arvada Tennis Center is run by Apex Park & Recreation District. It is a wonderful facility totally rebuilt less than 10 years ago. It has four indoor & 12 outdoor courts. I was watching two of my granddaughters in a private lesson from one of the wonderful coaches at the facility. Whether group or private lessons or competition, my three granddaughters & their family travel across the Denver metro area many times each week to train here saying this facility and the staff are the best around.

The indoor courts get booked up really quickly, and the outdoor courts can be too when the weather is nice. We especially enjoy the 90 minute drills, they are a great way to get lots of hits in and meet some tennis folks! The drills are usually a 6:1 ratio of players to pros, and involve a variety of tennis mini-games/drills. In my experience, the drills have less of a focus on form/mechanics and more on strategy, especially doubles strategy, which I appreciate. All in all, the only negative would be how tough it can be to get court time, but that’s only because it’s such a great place to play tennis.
