Apex Park and Recreation District runs its gymnastics program out of the Simms Street Recreation Center in Arvada, offering a progressive level-based youth curriculum that starts at age 1 in a structured class or open play with a guardian, with ages 3-12 attending independently and advancing through levels toward the Apex Gymnastics Team program. Classes run in sessions of about eight weeks with one class per week, and the district also offers sensory-friendly classes, private lessons, open gymnastics and camps.

Powered by GoogleI go Thair for gymnastics for 7 years old right
My sons have been attending an assortment of gymnastics/ninja classes at Simms for about a year and a half now. I just came here to sing the praises of Coach Cece and Coach Laura. Both are very patient with the kids and know my guys by name. And both of my boys have come out of classes with more confidence and overall agility!
Their registration process stinks; it's like the Hunger Games. "May the odds be ever in your favor." You have to re-register each semester, and they don't send out reminder emails or texts reminding you to register. They don't give preference to existing customers, they just open registration to EVERYONE at the same time; since the classes fill up within 1-2 days of registration opening, your child might wind up without a gymnastics class the following semester. My gymnast is really sad to not return to the APEX after one semester. When I commented to a front desk person about having missed registration (which opened Monday morning and I was trying to register my child on Tuesday during their class at the APEX and all the classes except Saturdays were already full), she unapologetically said: "The sign has been up at the front door for a few weeks." They expect parents to notice the small sign up by the front door and if they don't, they are just out of luck. They need to be better at making their existing customers feel valued and communicate better about when registration opens. The classes and teachers were fun, though!
My kids ❤️ this facility. Our 5 year old daughter is learning a lot from the coaches. She’s enjoying every minute of it. Thank you to the patient coaches
My daughter has been coming here for 6 years. She loves it. There have been changes in head coaching staff which is to be expected as this is a rec center, not a privately owned gym. That said, she's enjoyed receiving instruction from the coaches and learned something from each of them.
