Animation Group teaches and mentors 5th- through 12th-grade students in Colorado Springs in digital and traditional art for making animated cartoons and stories, covering character design, scriptwriting, voiceover acting and animation itself. Founded by Nathan Fisher for artistic students who were not thriving in school art programs, it runs classes, after-school and summer programs, and brings the same instruction directly onto local school campuses. Other classes I've tried always made us focus on very specific stuff, but here we have more creative freedom which is a dream come true.
