Ames Community Preschool Center (ACPC) is a nonprofit childcare organization that runs full-day summer camp for school-age children when school is out. Days mix developmentally appropriate group activities, free-choice time, and art, literacy, sensory, and STEM projects both indoors and outside. It has served central Iowa families for over 50 years and enrolls children through about age 12.

Powered by GoogleMy daughter is so happy everyday in ACPC. The teachers are so kind. It is nearly my daughter s favorite place to go everyday. She learned to speak more and become more confident.
ACPC is incredible! After a bad experience with an in-home care provider, my wife and I were really shaken. We were nervous to send our kids anywhere. We looked around but we didn't find anything that put our minds at ease until we came to ACPC. They gave us a tour, let us see the curriculum, and we met the teachers. All of it was incredible. Caring staff. Safe environment. Lots of books, outside time, and hands on learning opportunities. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)!!!
ACPC is an absolutely amazing place for your children's growth. My two kids have been attending for over 2 years, and it's truly incredible!
Absolutely love our journey at ACPC . Awesome teachers and exciting activities every week .
Our child has only been going to ACPC for a few weeks but the difference between ACPC and the last center we were at in town is night and day. We LOVE ACPC! The smaller class sizes, 1:1 attention, the security, how structured it is. Compared to our old center there appears to be the normal chaos of a 3-4 year old class room and things never seems to be out of control. My child is happy and is better behaved at home now and not mimicking the behaviors of children in a poorly run facility. We are paying a little more but it is worth the extra money!
