The Amarillo Art Institute at Arts in the Sunset is a community art school that runs kids' summer camps in June, July, and August alongside weekly children's art classes. Campers work in mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics, and weaving. Programs are open-enrollment for beginners through more advanced young artists in a gallery-and-studio arts campus setting.

Powered by GoogleVery interesting art (some cardboard media used) and some amazing art that I wish I could afford.
You need to update your address. My daughter had an art class, but the address in Google took us to an entirely different building. Then when I tried to call--repeatedly--no one would answer. If you're going to charge money (which of course you should), you need to be professional and competent by having the correct address.
One of my family’s favorite places in Amarillo. Always welcoming, inspiring, and calming. Even for our 3 year old!! What a gem in this city. So grateful!
I recently took the Introduction to Ceramics class, and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Our instructors, Margie and Tory, were amazing—so fun, patient, kind, and absolutely hilarious! They made the entire process enjoyable and approachable. Although I was nervous at first, I finished the season feeling inspired and confident in my ability to grow creatively. I’m excited to continue my journey by becoming a member and joining again. Highly recommend!
I’m so pleased to leave a review for AAI. Amarillo and the surrounding area has a jewel. The sooner you find it the quicker you can get connected with some of the best artists and instructors.Get there!
