Alum Creek Sailing Association runs a Junior Learn to Sail Camp offering about 32 hours of on-shore and on-water instruction on small sailboats (7-13 feet). Young sailors learn to tie knots, trim sails, read the wind and maneuver a boat independently, alongside teamwork and water-safety skills, on Alum Creek Lake near Lewis Center.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Alum Creek Sailing Association ACSA directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleWent fishing across from here. Fishing area is awesome. Loves it.
Scenic area at Alum Creek State Park. I don't know anything about sailing, but the sailboats are neat.
Great venue for a sailing regatta. You have multiple sites where you can drive to and see the races.
This is my favorite place in the Columbus Area. The class of people at this sailing club is second to none. If you're a sailor or a future sailor, this is THE place to be.
*Update* We are now taking sailing lessons here and it has been fun! Great volunteers who are our instructors, beautiful grounds and making lots of friends! What a great community! Beautiful trails all over this area. These pictures are from just over the bridge on 36/37 going east....just after the water. Just before Africa Rd. Sailing club was fun! A couple guys let us on their boat during the race!!
