★★★★★Tiffany GagnonWe love swimming lessons at the pool. Starbabies has been fun for getting comfortable in the water. They have rubber ducks, noodles, balls, and lots of other little water toys to hold and play with. They also have cool packs to strap around child's waist and help them float and swim alone. The water is warm 84 degrees, the air is warmer but the shower and locker rooms are a little chilly. It's not enough to deter us from visiting regularly. So many classes, lap swim times etc. Check the calendar! Great for our community to have access to family open swims and classes for all ages

★★★★★Cathy HaysThe Alpena County Plaza Pool is a great place to get exercise. I go to the Senior fitness class and this is my 10th year. Eve Phillips does a great job with maintaining our mobility and balance. We've had people come in with cane and in wheelchairs and ended up walking without them. We have lots of fun and I've met some good friends. In 2016 I had a mastectomy and missed the pool. Eve called me and said I could use the private changing room if it would make me feel more comfortable. I jumped at the chance. Thank you
★★★★Hans StevensLocker rooms are clean but showing their age. The pool itself ranges from 3 feet to ten feet deep. There's no diving board any more, just the six starting platforms for racing. There is a set of steps at the shallow end for easy entry into the water. The tile deck is clean and well maintained and there are bleachers for watching the swimmers though is recommend a cushion for anyone watching a longer event. They provide a variety of water toys for patrons.
