We are having such a wonderful experience with my kids’ horseback riding lessons here! The kids feel safe, confident, and excited from their very first lesson. Ms Kim is patient, knowledgeable, and truly care about teaching kids not just how to ride, but also how to take care of the horses. Lessons are structured, fun, and focused on building real riding skills while keeping things engaging for kids. I love how they also emphasize horse care and responsibility—it’s more than just a riding class, it’s a complete learning experience. If you’re searching for kids horseback riding lessons, children’s riding classes, or a safe and fun place for beginner horseback riding for kids, this is absolutely the place to go. My kids look forward to every lesson, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress. Highly recommend for families looking for the best kids’ horseback riding on the island!

I have been riding with Kim & Troy for several months and feel truly blessed to have found them! I grew up riding and after a nearly 25 year break from it, I decided to get back into it and Aloha Riding Lessons has been a perfect fit for me. I really appreciate their total horsemanship approach- groundwork is just as important as time in the saddle. Their horses are well cared for and they are great at matching the horse to the rider's capabilities. I especially like that they utilize bareback riding to help the rider work on a balanced seat (hello muscles I didn't even know I had!) I have been equally impressed with the barn community and the time I get to spend with like-minded individuals. Whether I'm grooming horses in the barn, riding in the ring, or sitting around the table sharing laughs with Kim, Troy & other riders...I always leave with a happy heart and always look forward to my next lesson!

I cannot say enough good things about Kim, Troy and Aloha Riding Lessons. I’m in my 30s and always wanted to ride as a kid but never got the chance beyond some pony camps, and decided it was time to live my childhood horse girl dreams. Kim is up front and clear from day 1 about expectations and policies. Her goal is not to launch you into a horse day 1 and get you superficially “riding.” At Aloha Riding Lessons, you will learn horsemanship and all the other aspects that go into the sport, including care of the horses and barn. All of the instructors are fantastic as well. Lastly, the community there has been the most unexpected blessing - I went to learn how to ride, but on day 1 I realized I found something unique there: a welcoming, warm, kind, hilarious group of like-minded individuals. Aloha Riding Lessons has truly become my happy place and I cannot recommend it highly enough. TL;DR - I came for the horses, I stayed for the people (and the horses!)

I have been riding with Kim for over a year as an adult student with very rusty experience. Kim and her staff throughout my time with them have been nothing but patient, informative, and accommodating. I have learned substantially not only riding itself but also on the ground. Ive been taught how to care for a horse, tend to wounds, and understand potential ailments. Guidance while riding has included understanding how your horse can relate to you, how your body language and mood directly affects your ride. In my experience, the environment at Aloha Riding is one of great care to both for students and animal. The lessons are always about making sure the student and horse are safe. Kim has been accommodating with my schedule both in if needing to change time or reschedule based on what she has available. I would recommend Kim and Aloha Riding if you are serious about learning the ins and out of not only riding but the ins and outs of horse ownership.

Kim and her team are amazing! My daughter has been taking lessons for nearly a year and LOVES it! The lessons are about so much more than riding a horse.
