I have a 10 year old daughter who absolutely LOVED going to Akamai. Everyone there was really kind and caring and made each child feel special. Every time i picked her up she was so excited to tell me all about what she did that day. We Love Akamai! :)
My son loves this kid's club so do we ! Aloha is practiced daily and it has been a wonderful shelter for everyone during this difficult time. Very much mahalo !
I couldn’t be happier with Akamai Kids Club. We recently moved to Hawaii and were disappointed to learn that the schools were not reopening. My husband and I work full-time with demanding jobs. I felt that I was letting my son down by dividing my attention between his work and mine. My work always seemed to win out. At Akamai Kids Club, Jack receives the academic support and attention that I’m not able to provide. The teachers are kind, conscientious and attentive. Jack never misses a zoom call and completes all of his work by the end of the day – not an easy feat for a kid with ADHD. In addition, the club offers daily enrichment activities that stimulate discussion and play. Recently, Jack become enamored with the student council elections and volunteered to run for secretary. He has been working with other kids to help them with their campaigns, making signs, running through speeches, etc. It’s so great to see Jack making friends and strengthening his interpersonal skills. With ADHD, Jack’s social skills are somewhat delayed, but with the supportive environment created by the Director, Kristen, Jack has connected with many kids in a meaningful way. Lastly, Jack loves Akamai Kids Club – the most important review there is. In his words, Akamai Kids Club rocks!
With schools shut down, tying to balance work and my children's educational demands have been a challenge, to say the least. My kids long for social interaction while I need uninterrupted time to complete my own work. Akamai Kids Club has truly been a life saver. The kids get help with teacher zoom meetings and completing virtual classwork while also engaging in other enrichment and just plain fun with other kids. And when I pick them up at the end of the day, their work is complete which is one less thing for me to worry about. Thank you for making life a little easier right now, while we all wait for these strange and trying times to pass.
