Afrim's Sports Malta is one of five Afrim's Sports locations in New York's Capital District, an indoor turf facility on U.S. Route 9 in Mechanicville used for soccer and lacrosse and for community events. Afrim's Sports runs a summer soccer camp for ages 6-14 that blends morning technical work — dribbling, change-of-direction moves, passing and receiving, defensive fundamentals and shooting, built around a daily skill move and small-sided 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 games — with afternoon competitions, possession games and scrimmages. However, the operator's published camp schedule places every camp week at its Colonie facility and a new Sports Park, not at this Malta location, so parents should not assume camp runs here.

Great place to do small practices but the fields are not that big

They regularly start games five minutes early, making people who are on time miss 1/8th of the field time they paid for. The facility is run down and not on par with the other Afirms facilities we pay the same amount of money to use. No concession stands, and staff was annoyed when a kid was hurt and we asked for an ice pack today.

For the newest Afrims facility its awful. It looks older than the one on Albany shaker. No facilities to get a bottle of water. Soccer fields look like they were field hockey fields. All that makes it soccer is the ball. Old and cheap facility.

I take my 3yo there once a week for soccer practice. The coaches are always fully engaged and you can tell they take pride in their craft. They create a positive space for team building, confidence growth and establishing friendships with teammates. My kid has fun every single time.

Do not come here. Deemed the WORST afrim's facility. NOT even a soccer field. The field is enclosed like a hockey write. VERY Pitiful.
