It has been over 1 year since I found a program run by Affinity Esports thru my local parks and rec department. My son, now 10 years old was so excited and engaged and I knew I had to enroll him in whatever was offered. Fast forward to present date. He has taken nearly every class offered and has made an amazing group of friends and mentors in the coaches. He has learned coding, programming, content creaton, Pixel Art, game making and creativity. He went from being a kid who didn't know how to find things that could stimulate him enough to building confidence with his skills that just keep him moving up in programs. While many see the name and assume Affinity is a gaming studio where kids just go mindless staring at screens it's not. My neurodivergent son has found a place where he can be himself. He can create and learn for his future. He has found a tribe of like minded, kind, generous kids and adults that encourage one another to rise above and strive for creative greatness. I look forward for my sons continued programming opportunities thru Affinity. If you have a creative kid who has an interest in computers at all give a class a try please because it will be an amazing experience for them. We are a gaming family and I am so glad that Affinity has joined our community! My son had done summer camp as well as youth game night at Affinity, had a great time at both, and we plan to have him continue doing summer camp sessions there. The coaches are all friendly, polite, and encouraging. I especially like how Affinity is making an effort to include girls in gaming. It is important to create a safe gaming space for girls and women!

Highly recommend Affinity. My son has been a member for more than a year and often pops in to practice and improve his game. We love the Youth Game Nights and Club Teams. A year ago I signed my eight year old up for a Rocket League camp at AE thinking it might be a better fit for him than some of the sports camps around town where he was having some trouble fitting in and being successful. I was honestly blown away by the staff at AE. The coaches really GOT my son and appreciated him for who he is. They worked with him on improving his gaming skills and on some important life skills like socializing and teamwork . In the last year he has participated in a bunch of different programs, game nights, camps and a club team. My son has learned so much about teamwork and made so many new friendships this last year. My younger son is on the autism spectrum and enjoys the chill vibe at AE during the weekend drop in hours. Somehow my husband and I caught the gaming bug too, so now we do family game night and adult game night and even joined a grown up gaming league. We've met a variety of incredible people who we are lucky enough to call friends now. I'm so glad to be a part of this amazing community.
