What an amazing experience! Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids ages 8 and 12) rafted on a Tuesday evening in mid May on the Upper New River for the Family Express trip. This was the first rafting trip for my kids. The trip was personalized to fit their needs and they loved every second of the trip. All of the staff from the owner, Rob, to our guide, Samuel, to several supporting staff were incredibly kind and personable. We were on the river for a couple hours and the bus rides to and from the river were short, under 30 minutes each way. Our guide, Samuel, was very engaging and knowledgeable. Mia took so many wonderful photos and videos to help us remember this amazing experience and owner, Rob, fielded all of our questions before and after we booked helping us feel prepared and excited for our tour. We experienced class 1 and 2 rapids along with one class 3 rapid, which was perfect for our first timers. Our kids are hooked and can't wait to come back again. We highly recommend West Virginia Adventures and will absolutely be back to raft the Lower New River with our kids in a few years with them.
