Faith-based community sports center at 70 Ken Hayes Dr in Bourbonnais, run as an outreach ministry of Adventure Christian Church and open to the public. The building holds four basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor soccer turf, batting cages, two 18-hole mini golf courses and inflatables set up during school breaks. Alongside year-round youth and adult leagues and pickleball, the church runs an Adventure Summer Camp and homeschool programs out of the facility; camp ages, dates and daily hours are not listed on the pages reviewed.

★Alvy GonzalezWe’ve appreciated having an indoor option for the kids, and we understand that the program relies on volunteer referees. That said, the inconsistency in officiating has become a significant concern the shut up it’s my call attitude is disheartening. While we recognize this is labeled as a recreational league, many of the teams include players who have been playing for years, which naturally brings a more competitive level of play. Unfortunately, some of the referees particularly the younger and less experienced ones do not appear to have a solid understanding of the game or how to manage that level of competition. This has led to missed or incorrect calls, perceived favoritism at times, and ultimately unnecessary tension during games. Instead of supporting a positive environment, it often creates frustration for players, coaches, and families. We respect the effort it takes to run a program like this, but there needs to be better training, oversight, and consistency in officiating to match the level of play on the field. For these reasons, this will be our last indoor session here, and we will be exploring other facilities next fall.
