Adventure Building Camp

Marquette, MI

Private

Adventure Building Camp is a four-day building, making and tinkering day camp for two age groups, 5-8 and 9-14, held in a former logging-mill warehouse just outside Marquette next to the Noquemanon Trail and Dead River. Campers learn to use hand and power tools, mainly drills, drivers and jigsaws, to design and build rafts, forts and human-powered wheeled vehicles from reclaimed scrap wood and cardboard. Each day includes a midmorning break, a lunch break and a swim.
