Powered by GoogleI don’t know about the programs and activities at this specific location. I know that the YMCA as a whole organization has a lot to offer and I participate in coaching opportunities and my child plays sports for Y teams at a different location. The biggest thing for me is being able to utilize any of the YMCA’s facilities regardless of my location or primary YMCA. I understand the payments and membership dues made to the YMCA I call my primary visit location are utilized to provide financial support to the programs and services offered for that location. But I like to be able to visit any location at my leisure. This location is very clean and the staff at the counter were beyond helpful and polite. This location looks like it has a lot to offer and is in a convenient location on Clough pike. Definitely a hidden gem I didn’t know about until I googled the closest YMCA. I would definitely recommend!
I just signed up with silver and fit at my local YMCA this is a very nice place indoor pools outdoor pools three different work out rooms one being a power lifter muscle building room. The staff was very nice very helpful took me on a tour through the facility. Two thumbs up
I don't know what's happening here but the staff has gone to just horrible. First i was told I had too many children and they couldn't add my twins onto my pass. That hurt my feelings bad! When I said she was discriminating against me she suddenly figured it out, even after I said to just remove my eldest child who is 20. No apologies nothing. Today I asked for the contact information for soccer and she's like its too late to register if that's what it says. Mam id just like the information. Next, they have no medical protocol in place! Considering majority who attend are elderly they need to. I witnessed a man have a syncope episode that appeared as a seizure. Anyhow I assisted him to a seat and asked him if this ever happened. A staff member was showing someone the facility at the time laughed and said I got to see the male locker room. The man said he'll just take a shower and he will be fine. The staff leaves him and continues the tour no incident report or anything. Just be better. We used to look forward to coming to the Y. The only thing there for kids is taking them swimming. The other areas are always occupied for adult activities.
I am really disappointed that no one has responded to the concerns I raised, especially because I had already tried to contact management before your team even asked for member feedback. I shared honest input and was hoping for some kind of acknowledgment or follow up, but I have heard nothing. The steam room is in awful condition. The door frame is rusted and falling apart. The smell inside is honestly disgusting. It does not smell clean or fresh like other steam rooms I have used. It smells like a damp moldy basement and feels unsanitary and unsafe. This morning the women’s bathroom had a strong urine odor, and this is not the first time it has felt unclean. In general, the bathroom gets messy in the afternoons and needs more frequent cleaning. The weight room is also in serious need of attention. The equipment is outdated and worn down. The room itself looks dirty and the walls need painting. The benches and weight racks do not appear to be cleaned regularly. There are also no foam rollers or any basic mobility tools, which is surprising for a gym like this. I am not paying a cheap Planet Fitness fee. I joined the YMCA because I expected a cleaner and more thoughtfully maintained environment. Unfortunately, that has not been the case so far. To be fair, the outdoor pool is beautiful, the front desk staff are friendly, and the cardio room looks clean and updated. But the core wellness areas I came here to use feel neglected and the complete lack of communication only makes it more frustrating.
Nice YMCA with an outstanding outdoor aquatics center. Well maintained cardio machines and nice sized exercise equipment room. Free weight area is a bit difficult to find as thru the back entrance of the locker rooms in two old racquetball courts. Has a platform, leg press and some benches for barbell work along with a great assortment of dumbbells. Love the fact that they hit Christian music playing overhead and the Bible near the entry way. Also has a nice steam room and sauna located between the locker rooms.
