Powered by GoogleWe had a wonderful time and fell right into the story the actors portrayed. Something Rotten was a humorous experience with one surprise after another.
I took my 3 high school girlfriends who came to town, with husbands, as we celebrated 56 years since graduation. We saw All Shook Up and loved it!! My husband and I have seen several shows here the last couple summers. Truly a very professional group of actors from all over the country.
A taste of Broadway and West End. Literally. Incredibly fitting to the charming setting that is main street BigFork. I will definitely be visiting this place frequently when we come down We saw Guys and Dolls. Which isn't my favorite play but the talented cast members made it very enjoyable and entertaining.
This is a wonderful playhouse! The actors are incredible! It's professional level quality! So excited to watch Mamma Mia this year, they did a performance a couple years back & it was hilarious!!! This place is awesome, and I can't watch to watch the plays this summer! Who needs to watch a movie, when you can watch a live performance... standing ovation, & lots of applause for Bigfork Summer Playhouse :)
In full disclosure before I review, my daughter is a cast member. We travelled to see her perform in all four shows. My husband and I kept saying to each other after every show "...no one is going to believe us back home when we tell them how absolutely professional and amazing these shows are". Our family has seen a good bit of theatre over the last 5 years (and paid much more for tickets) and are so incredibly impressed with the quality of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse shows that we just saw. The choreography was top-notch! Vocals absolutely stellar! Transitions were seamless. The live musicians were excellent. Also, I am not sure when/if I have ever seen better acting! Drowsy Chaperone was hysterical...the whole audience was laughing most of the time. Joseph was a delight on many levels. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was simply beautiful. Mama Mia was so great that we were still singing the songs in the car on the way home. I will most certainly follow the careers of many of these actors to watch for their inevitable successes professionally!
