Powered by GoogleIt was wonderful to watch my grandson graduate from ait. Also very proud of the men and women that made it happen. I was filled with pride at the baker theater in Ft Leanord wood Army base.
My son graduated basic. The ceremony started at 10am, but we had to line up outside in the freezing cold until they let us in. We got there around 9:30 am as previous posts stated the seats fill up fast. No one had to stand but all the seats were filled. The ceremony itself was very nice. I was expecting 2-3 hours but it started right at 10 am and ended in about an hour. The graduates marched outside and waited to be released. Once released they leave with family until 7pm. It is cold 20° and didn't really get any warmer so be prepared, and dress warm! Graduates can go off base. However there isn't much in the area. There are more things on base. We didn't want to risk driving two hours away to get to a major city as they do have to be back at 7pm. Drop off is the Nutter Field.
We had our sons basic training graduation indoors due to heat concerns. It was packed. Be early and bring a chair to stand in line for 2 plus hours
My baby graduated from BMT. The graduation was cool. The theater is just another theater
The only thing I’d recommend is to fix the left long stage curtain so that ALL the stars on the American flag are displayed. I only made this 3 stars to demonstrate the stars were missing.
